GLIAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 3

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards after the third weekend of competition. Saginaw Valley senior forward Tyler Channell earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the third straight week. Northwood junior defender Dominic Hart collected GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades after the Timberwolves displayed dominance last week.

Offense
Tyler Channell Saginaw Valley State Forward Sr.

Highlights: Channell scored three goals and four assists for 10 points while leading the team to a weekend sweep over Malone and Walsh. He had a pair of assists Friday in a 4-0 blanking of the Pioneers before notching his first-career hat trick and adding two more helpers in a 9-1 victory over Walsh on Sunday. Channell leads the country with nine assists, is second in the GLIAC with five goals to teammate Jordan Kalk (7) and leads the league with 19 points.

Defense
Dominic Hart Northwood Defender Jr.
Highlights: Hart led Northwood to a pair of home wins over Walsh and Malone last week, anchoring a defense that allowed one goal in two games. He played 175 of a possible 180 minutes overall, helping Northwood out-score their opponents 14-1 while out-shooting them  50-17. In addition, Hart added a goal and an assist for the Timberwolves on offense.
