GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its first men's tennis weekly awards for the 2018 campaign. Wayne State sophomore Mats Westkamp claimed GLIAC Athlete of the Week honors after an impressive 5-0 week.
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Mats Westkamp, Wayne State
Playing at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, Mats Westkamp went a combined 5-0 in three road matches against Lawrence Tech, Findlay and Walsh last week. Included was a 6-1, 6-1 win in the first flight at Findlay on Friday, as well as three doubles wins with junior Taylor Vane
