GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its fifth Men's Tennis weekly awards for the 2020 season. Purdue Northwest freshman Levent Evyapan claimed GLIAC Player of the Week honors.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Levent Evyapan - Purdue Northwest
Levent Evyapan put forth solid effort on behalf of Purdue Northwest, taking home weekend victories against Maryville University and the University of Missouri-St. Louis. On Friday, the Pride ended their contest against Maryville with a final score of 2-5, with Levent Evyapan and Jonluke Passett each bringing home singles victories. Evyapan also partnered with Barja Miralles to get a 7-6 doubles victory for the Pride. On Saturday, Evyapan went on to grab another doubles victory alongside Miralles against UMSL. He comes to Purdue University Northwest from Istanbul, Turkey.
