Five GLIAC teams and one individual to compete in NCAA Division II Women's Golf Regionals

GLIAC -- Five GLIAC teams and one individual were among the field of competitors the NCAA Division II Women's Golf committee selected to participate in the 2022 championships.

Competing in the East Regional from May 2-4 will be GLIAC champion Grand Valley State (3), GLIAC runner-up Northwood (7), Wayne State (9), Saginaw Valley State (12) and Ferris State (13). Annie Pietila of Northern Michigan earned an individual invitation.

Hosted by William Jewell College and the Kansas City Sports Commission, East Region play will take place at Shoal Creek Golf Club in Kansas City, Mo.

All participants will compete through the 54 holes of competition. The top three (central) and five (east, south and west) teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the championships.

The championships will be held May 10-14 at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia.
