GLIAC Cross Country Athletes of the Week - Week 6

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards after final meets prior to championships season. Grand Valley State freshman Gina Patterson captured GLIAC honors on the women's side, while Tiffin junior James Ngandu claimed men's accolades.

Highlights: Patterson has been one of the most consistent top finishers for Grand Valley State this season, recording two finishes in the top 10 in three races for GVSU. The true freshman finished second at the 2015 Lewis Conference Crossover in Illinois this Saturday, running a time of 21:18.65 to place second and lead the Lakers to a first-place finish at the event with 26 points.

Highlights: Ngandu shattered the course record at the Disney Cross Country Classic, finishing first for the fourth consecutive time this season. He posted a time of 24:37.3, winning by 6 seconds over the second place finisher.
