NEW ORLEANS — The NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships are in the books. It's going to come down to the wire to decide which team is going to be named the Jerry Baltes Division II Women's Program of the Year.
Grand Valley State and Hillsdale sit tied atop the standings with 5 points each after they alternated second- and third-place finishes at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships and the Indoor Championships.
Whichever team finishes higher in Bradenton, Florida come May 26-28 will take the crown. If it's GVSU, it would be the Lakers' seventh Program of the Year win in the pat eight years.
In the race to be the Damon Martin Division II Men's Program of the Year, Adams State is well on its way to capturing its eighth consecutive award. Second-place finishes in cross country and indoor track & field left the Grizzlies with four points, five more than GVSU.
