GLIAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 2

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards after the second weekend of the new regular season. Walsh freshman forward Myles Cornwall earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades, while Tiffin senior defender Charlie Rolls claimed GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Myles Cornwall, Walsh

Walsh freshman forward Myles Cornwall received a spot start on Friday against Findlay and made the most of it with a pair of goals. The first score served as an equalizer in the 73rd minute off of a free kick while the second gave the Cavs a 2-1 lead in the 79th minute in a 3-2 double-overtime win.


DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Charlie Rolls, Tiffin

Tiffin senior defender Charlie Rolls led the Dragon defense in their 2-0 week, as TU beat Lake Erie and Walsh both on the road by identical 2-1 scores. TU's defense allowed just four shots on goal in each game and a combined three corner kicks over the two victories.
