Tiffin's Cutting Named GLIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its second men's tennis weekly awards for the 2017 campaign. Tiffin sophomore Toby Cutting claimed GLIAC Athlete of the Week honors after a big week for the Dragons against tough competition.


ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Toby Cutting, Tiffin

Toby Cutting, Soph., Ipswich, U.K. - Cutting went 2-1 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play last week on Tiffin's spring trip. He led the Dragons with a 6-4, 6-4 singles win and teamed with Luis Ludena for a 8-2 upset of 13th-ranked Coastal Georgia 5-4 while also posting a 6-3, 6-1 singles victory and 8-3 doubles win against Salem International. His lone losses on the week were to 3rd-ranked Armstrong State 6-2, 6-4 and 8-5. He currently holds a 7-4 record for the 8-3 Dragons.
