BAY CITY, Mich. -- Northwood freshman Carol Arnez-Mercado has been named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week after leading the Timberwolves at the No. 1 singles position to a 3-0 record last week.

Highlights: Arnez-Mercado posted a 6-0 combined record at the top of the lineup for Northwood last week, leading the Timberwolves to a 3-0 week. She went 3-0 at No. 1 singles, winning the final six sets she played in. Arnez-Mercado then teamed with Anna Aniskina to go 3-0 at No. 1 doubles. On the year, Arnez-Mercado has gone 9-3 overall, posing a 4-2 record at No. 1 singles and a 5-1 mark in doubles. |
