GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its second weekly awards of the 2022-23 indoor track & field season. Parkside junior Nic Davy and Grand Valley State junior Natalie Graber earned the track honors while Davenport senior Noah Evers and Grand Valley State senior Emma Richards received the field awards.

MEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Nic Davy, Parkside

Nic Davy is off to a hot start early in the indoor season. The junior placed second in the 400m dash at the Bill Clinger Classic at Grand Valley State on Friday, Jan 27 with a NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time of 48.48 seconds. Davy currently leads the GLIAC in the 400m and will look to continue to improve on his time before the GLIAC Championships in February.

WOMEN'S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Natalie Graber, Grand Valley State

After a tremendous 2022 cross country season, Natalie Graber has continued to dominate on the track during the indoor track & field season. Graber recently placed first in the women's mile invite last weekend at the Bill Clinger Classic recording a new personal-best time of 4:44.98. This personal-best time has jumped Graber up to No.1 on the USTFCCCA National Leaders List, in addition to surpassing the Division II provisional mark of 4:57.54 making this her first time qualifying.

MEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Noah Evers, Davenport

Noah Evers improved his NCAA mark over the weekend at the SVSU Jet's Pizza Invitational. He currently is 8th in Division II with a distance of 57' 10.5".

WOMEN'S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Emma Richards, Grand Valley State

Senior Emma Richards now claims her second consecutive GLIAC field athlete of the week award after the women's weight throw team led the Lakers in the field.
