GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards after the fifth week of the 2018 cross country season. Saginaw Valley State senior runner Allison Dorr captured GLIAC Athlete of the Week honors on the women's side, while SVSU senior runner Tom Goforth garnered the men's award.
WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Allison Dorr - Saginaw Valley
Saginaw Valley State senior runner Allison Dorr finished fifth in the Lewis Conference Crossover Meet in Illinois this past weekend. Dorr ran with a time of 21:55.3, her best 6k time of the year so far, finishing in the top slot for the Cardinal women's team.
MEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Tom Goforth - Saginaw Valley
SVSU senior runner Tom Goforth finished in the top slot for the Cardinals in the Lewis Conference Crossover with a time of 24:44.0, his new career record for the 8k race. He placed fourth overall.
