The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is mourning the passing of men's basketball official Bullock Charles P. (Chuckie/Chuck) Bullock on December 25, 2014 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, OH. Chuckie was born to Charles E. and Margaret (Pat) Bullock on September 15, 1967.

He graduated from Licking Heights High School in 1985. Chuckie was a High School State Track Champion in 1984 and 1985. He attended Norfolk State University in Virginia on a track scholarship. Chuck returned home to start a roofing business and marry his high school sweetheart, Christiann Smith, his "Weezie".

His most recent position was as a sales representative for Hillyard Inc. Chuck began to follow his dreams of becoming a basketball official in 2004. He quickly climbed up the ranks and achieved his ultimate goal of officiating at the NCAA Men's collegiate level. For Chuck, basketball was his home away from home and he loved the brotherhood that developed over the years and severed as a mentor to many of his fellow officials.

He never met a stranger, was loved by many and his quick wit and smile that lit up a room will be greatly missed. Chuckie is survived by his wife of 16 years, Christiann; children, Justin and Gabrielle; his parents, Charles and Pat; brothers, Michael (Kathleen), Jonathan (Dawn); and sister, Camille (Tifiro) Cook; nieces, Pamela, Jennifer, Sivoni, Tristan, Zoie; and nephews, Tyler and Bryce. He is predecease by his paternal and maternal grandparents, three uncles, one aunt, and mother and father-in-law.
