TIFFIN, Ohio -- Former Tiffin University point guard Ashton Khan has signed with the Worcester Wolves. The Wolves are a member of the British Basketball league, the highest league in England.

Khan's collegiate career with the Dragons came to an end this past winter. As a Dragon, Ashton played in 55 games, starting 53. He accumulated 664 points, 177 rebounds, and dished out 184 assists over a two year career. Last season Khan led the Dragons in multiple statistical categories, including, points (373), field goals made (142), free throws made (58), assists (107), steals (37), defensive rebounds (79), and minutes with a total of 957 minutes played. Khan's durability is undeniable, as he was on the floor for the Dragons 83% of the time, playing in 957 of the possible 1,160 total minutes.

Tiffin University head coach Jerry Buccilla was ecstatic about the news. "I am very excited that Ashton has this opportunity to continue playing the game of basketball at the professional level," said Buccilla. "Signing a professional contract is a true testament to the hard work paying off for Ashton both on the court and in the classroom while a student-athlete here at Tiffin University. We are proud of Ashton and know that he will be successful at the next level. His teammates and the fans of the Worcester Wolves are going to love his commitment to the team and enjoy watching how hard he plays."

Ashton joins two other recent Tiffin University hoopsters currently playing professionally. Joe Graessle (2014) is playing in Spain for Enrique Soler of the Liga EBA, and Karl Finley (2013) is playing for the Windsor Express of the National Basketball League of Canada.
