BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following the second weekend of the 2015 football season. Ferris State senior quarterback Jason Vander Laan earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Tiffin's Jalen Randolph captured GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors along with teammate Tomislav Derezic who captured GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week accolades.

| Highlights: Vander Laan led the No. 6 Bulldogs to a dominating 40-3 season-opening home win over Northwood. The senior signal caller accounted for 478 yards of total offense and led the Bulldogs to 24 second-half points. Vander Laan ran for a game-high 158 yards on 13 carries and a score while averaging 12.2 yards per carry. He also completed 20-of-37 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns. His 320 yards passing represented his second-highest figure in 35 games as the Bulldogs' starting quarterback. | |||

| Highlights: Randolph led the Dragons with six tackles and one sack in Tiffin's 40-0 win over Saginaw Valley State. The Dragon defense held the Cardinals to just 134 yards of total offense and posted their first shutout since 2005. | |||

| Highlights: Derezic accounted for 16 of TU's 40 points in a 40-0 win over Saginaw Valley State, including kicking a school single-game record of four field goals in the game. All four kicks came in the first half as TU built a 19-0 lead by halftime. He also was perfect on PATs, going 4-for-4. | |||
