GLIAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 8

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards heading into the final week of the regular season. Michigan Tech senior forward Lexi Herrewig earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Walsh senior goalkeeper Michaella Stucky claimed GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

Offense
Lexi Herrewig Michigan Tech Forward Sr.

Highlights: Herrewig tallied both game-winning goals in Michigan Tech's weekend sweep of Northwood and Saginaw Valley State. The senior has a team-leading 12 goals this season and is tied for second-most in the GLIAC.

Defense
Michaella Stucky Walsh Goalkeeper Sr.
Highlights: Stucky and the Cavaliers split the week with a 1-0 loss to Grand Valley and a much-needed 4-1 win over Tiffin. Against the Lakers, who score 4.62 goals per game, Stucky limited the No. 3 team in the nation to one goal, something that hasn't been done since GVSU's first game of the season. Stucky also made 11 saves in that game. She followed up with six saves in the win over the Dragons.
