Wayne State 11th, GVSU 17th, Michigan Tech 20th in USA Today Sports Top 25 Women's Hoops Poll

ATLANTA, Ga. – Wayne State, Grand Valley State and Michigan Tech women’s basketball programs are all ranked inside USA Today Sports' Top 25 Division II Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Poll.

Wayne State University leads the GLIAC in the No. 11 position. The Warriors improved to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the GLIAC with a 69-57 road win at Northern Michigan Monday afternoon.

The Grand Valley State Lakers are eyeing their seventh consecutive victory to open the 2014-15 campaign. The No. 17 Lakers, who moved up seven spots in this week's rankings, will take on Ohio Dominican Tuesday night in what will be their final home game prior to the New Year.

The MTU Huskies entered the rankings at No. 20 with a perfect 7-0 mark and one of 16 unbeaten teams remaining in the country. The Black and Gold are coming off a pair of GLIAC wins at home last week. The Huskies defeated Findlay on Thursday by a 75-60 score before upsetting No. 8 Wayne State on Saturday by a 68-55 count.
