PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Four members of the GVSU women's soccer team have been named to the NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team following the Laker's 2-0 victory over #3 Columbus State on Saturday to win the title.

Senior Katy Woolley and junior Marti Corby headline the group, having been named the Most Outstanding Defensive and Offensive Player of the Tournament, respectively. Woolley was a crucial component and vocal leader for the GVSU backline that shutout the dynamic and dangerous offense of Columbus State in the championship game. Corby was as potent on the offensive side of the ball as she's been all season, putting the Lakers out in front of the Cougars in the 13th minute with a beautiful free kick goal, her ninth game winner of the season. She later assisted on the Laker's second goal, scored by senior Katie Bounds.

Junior Jayma Martin and freshman goalkeeper Emily Maresh join Woolley and Corby on the All-Tournament Team. Martin scored a pair of goals in Grand Valley's 3-2 win over #2 Western Washington in the NCAA Semifinals, while Maresh continued to play above her class status, making four saves in each of the final two games and recording a shutout in the championship game.

The Lakers have now won three consecutive national championships, and have five titles in program history, which ties Franklin Pierce for the all-time program record in Division II.
