BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its women's tennis weekly awards following the ITA Midwest Regional hosted by Northwood in Midland. Wayne State junior Dasha Kuznetsova claimed GLIAC Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after an impressive run to the quarterfinals in singles and doubles.
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Dasha Kuznetsova, Wayne State
Wayne State junior Dasha Kuznetsova earned four total wins during the ITA Tournament, advancing to both the quarterfinals in the singles and doubles divisions. She defeated the sixth and 15th seeded singles players and helped guide a win over the No. 7 seed in the opening round of the doubles division.
