Ferris State Ranked 18th in NABC Division II Rankings; SVSU & LSSU Receiving Votes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Ferris State Bulldogs moved up one spot to 18th in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Rankings. FSU is the lone Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference school to appear the poll, while Saginaw Valley State is currently receiving nine votes and Lake Superior State earned a single vote.

Ferris State Ferris State University senior guard Drew Lehman led the 19th-ranked Bulldogs to only their third sweep over Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan on the road in the Upper Peninsula in the last 25 years this past week. Lehman averaged 14.5 points along with 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds per contest as FSU remained unbeaten at 10-0 in the GLIAC and ran its winning streak to 14-straight games.

Lehman hit a pair of critical three-pointers on back-to-back possessions down the stretch to key Thursday's (Jan. 15) 63-51 league road win at Michigan Tech. He then came back to score 11 points with a team-high four assists in FSU's hard-earned 61-58 triumph over former FSU head coach Bill Sall and Northern Michigan on Saturday (Jan. 17) at the Berry Events Center.

Saginaw Valley State continues to impress as the Randy Baruth-led squad is off to a 10-0 mark in the conference and a 13-2 overall mark. Junior guard Damon Bozeman posted a season-high 23 points in SVSU's overtime victory against Northwood on Saturday to earn the 12th consecutive win for his team, the longest streak since the 1984-85 campaign.

The next poll will be released Jan. 27.
