GVSU Women’s Soccer, SVSU & Tiffin Men Ranked in NSCAA Poll

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s and women’s soccer teams combined appeared in the second 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) regular season poll.

After a 1-0 loss to then No. 7 and now No. 2 Minnesota State University–Mankato, the Grand Valley women’s soccer team dropped to fourth. The loss snapped a 27-match winning streak, which tied for the fourth-longest run in NCAA Division II history.

Saginaw Valley and Tiffin appear in this week’s men’s poll with the Cardinals nearing the top in second and Tiffin at No. 19.  SVSU remains unbeaten after a 0-0 draw against GLIAC rival Northwood and a 1-0 win over Marygrove last weekend.

This is the first time Tiffin appears in the poll this season with an overall ranking of 2-0-1.
