GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its fifth tennis weekly awards for the 2023 campaign. Davenport swept the honors with sophomore Jan Stolin earning men's player of the week accolades and senior Willimien Coetzee receiving women's player of the week recognition.
MEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Jan Stolin, Davenport
Jan Stolin is having quite a start to his first season with the Panthers. He has won 10 straight singles matches including an 11-1 record in dual matches this season. He is also 12-4 in doubles competition this season.
WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Willimien Coetzee, Davenport
Willemien Coetzee is 6-4 in her last 10 singles matches for the Panthers. She also has a 4-3 mark in two singles this season. Coetzee has posted a 7-4 mark in doubles this season and has teamed with Amy Bloch for a 6-3 record at the one spot.
