WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Momentum for both Grand Valley State and Wayne State carried over into Day 2 of the 2016 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Swimming & Diving Championships at Waterford Mott High School.
Almost in similar fashion to day one, nine of the eleven events on day two were won by two programs. However, Northern Michigan put a strong day together in the pool, locking up two first place finishes. Ryan Leonard’s first place finish in the men’s 400 Individual Medley broke the GLIAC meet record with a time of 3:51.65. Crystal Bennet followed Leonard’s performance with a first place finish of her own in the 100 butterfly clocking in with time of 56.26.
