BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the ninth GLIAC Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week awards. Gianni Ferrero, a senior from Grand Valley State earned GLIAC Male Athlete of the Week honors, while teammate Grand Valley State junior Leonie Van Noort claimed GLIAC Female Athlete of the Week accolades.

Highlights: Gianni Ferrero competed in 6 events at the Calvin Invite. Ferrero was apart of the 1st place 200 (1:28.37) & 400 (3:13.35) medly relay teams. Ferrero also finished 1st in the 200 Frestyle (1:20.44), 800 Freestyle (6:37.55), 100 fly (46.02), 100 back (47.72), 200 fly (1:43.91). |

Highlights: Leonie Van Noort had a busy day competing in 7 events, and was once again a multi-event winner for the Grand Valley State women. Van Noort touched first in the 500 free in a sizzling time of 4:47.25. Van Noort added yet another win to the Laker ledger in the 100 free, touching in 50.92. Van Noort was also apart of the 1st place 400 medly (3:44.12) & 200 medly (1:43.40) relay teams. |
