BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the fifth GLIAC Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week awards. Wayne State junior Juan David Molina Perez earned GLIAC Male Athlete of the Week honors, while GVSU junior Emily Gallagher claimed GLIAC Female Athlete of the Week accolades.

Highlights: Won both 100 Backstroke (:49.91) and 200 Backstroke (1:49.07) against Oakland University, setting NCAA 'B' Standard in the 200 Back, and setting both Wayne State University Pool Records in both of these events. Also led off the 200 Medley Relay with a :23.19. Juan set a NCAA ‘B’ Standard in the 100 back as well. The cut-off time of 49.91; which he swam. |

| Highlights: Gallagher posted individual wins in the 50 free (24.95) and the 200 breast (2:25.89). She touched in with a time of 1:05.07 in the first split of the 100 breast relay. | ||
