GLIAC -- Week 5 of the 2023 football season will feature the highly-anticipated opening of GLIAC play, with three intraconference games on the docket.

The marquee matchup of the week will take place in the Upper Peninsula, as the GLIAC's final two unbeaten squads square off. Michigan Tech (3-0) hosts No. 18 Davenport (3-0) at Kearly Stadium in Houghton.

No. 1-ranked Ferris State (2-1), coming off a bye week, begins GLIAC play in Big Rapids versus Northern Michigan (0-4) in the Bulldogs' annual Homecoming game.

After an idle week, No. 7 Grand Valley State (2-1) is back in action, kicking off conference competition on the road at Saginaw Valley State (2-2) in the Battle of the Valleys.

Wayne State (1-3) will face its final nonconference opponent of the season on Saturday, hosting NAIA foe Concordia (Mich.) (3-0) at Tom Adams Field in Detroit.
