FSU's Erickson named GLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced that Ferris State sophomore guard Ethan Erickson has been named GLIAC Player of the Week following week six of the 2022-23 men's basketball season. 


PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ethan Erickson, Ferris State

Ferris State University sophomore guard Ethan Erickson had an impressive week for the Bulldogs, leading FSU to back-to-back home wins in non-conference play. Erickson tallied 22.5 points per game while shooting 72% from the three-point stripe as FSU rolled up 129 points in a Saturday win over Michigan-Dearborn followed by 101 points on Monday in a regional showdown against Findlay. The second-year Bulldog totaled 20 points on six-of-eight shooting from the arc on Saturday night and came back with a game-high 25 points, going seven-of-10 from long range, on Monday. In the two games, he totaled 45 points while adding eight rebounds and four assists. Overall, he shot 65.2% (15-23) from the floor and made 13-of-18 (72.2%) threes along with a pair of free throws. FSU's 129 points in Saturday's triumph were the most in school history.
