GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced that Davenport redshirt sophomore guard Marcedus Leech Jr. has been honored as GLIAC Player of the Week following week eight of the 2022-23 men's basketball season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Marcedus Leech Jr., Davenport
Redshirt sophomore guard Marcedus Leech Jr. scored at a high rate this week for the Panthers. He tied his career-high with 26 points on Thursday at Purdue Northwest and then set a new career-high with 29 points in a win over previously unbeaten in the GLIAC Parkside on Saturday. In addition, he also poured in 20 points in non-conference action last Monday against East-West University. Leech Jr. also scored his points shooting 56.9 percent from the floor and 48.1 percent behind the arc.
