GLIAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 5

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards after the first week in October. Northwood sophomore midfielder James Vaughn earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, while fellow NU teammate senior goalkeeper Johannes Sterobo collected GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades after a pair of shutouts last week.

Highlights: Vaughn scored the game-winning goal in each of Northwood's two road wins last week. He scored the opening goal of the game against both Ohio Dominican and Lake Erie. Northwood has now won six straight matches, out-scoring their opponents 28-2 in those matches.

Highlights: Sterobo picked up a pair of shutouts in road wins over Ohio Dominican and Lake Erie. He made a total of six saves in the two matches. He now has 20 career shutouts, 10 more than anyone else in Northwood history. Northwood has now won six straight matches, out-scoring their opponents 28-2 in those matches.
