GLIAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 9

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its final weekly awards for the 2015 campaign. Northwood senior midfielder Jack Smith earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Walsh senior defender Lucas Dunlap collected GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

Offense
Jack Smith Northwood Midfielder Sr.

Highlights: Smith scored the lone goal in No. 17 Northwood's 1-0 road win over No. 11 Saginaw Valley State, which gave the Timberwolves its first-ever GLIAC Championship. His free kick from just outside the 18-yard penalty area gave Northwood the only score of the game.

Defense
Lucas Dunlap Walsh Defender Sr.
Highlights: In his final game as a Cavalier, Dunlap helped Walsh's defense pitch a 1-0 shutout against rival Malone on Friday afternoon. The Pioneers managed to get 13 shots off, but thanks to a stingy Cavs defense, only two of those were on goal.
