Highlights: Vander Meer had a memorable week as the Bulldogs secured their third GLIAC North Division Championship in the last five years. Vander Meer tallied a team-leading 46 kills in three matches as FSU posted a 3-0 mark with wins over Grand Valley State, Lake Superior State and Northwood. She hit an impressive .322 on the week while averaging 4.9 points, 4.18 kills and 3.18 digs per set. The senior standout tallied her 1,000th career kill in her final regular-season home match on Senior Day Saturday as FSU swept NU 3-0. Vander Meer tallied 10 kills or more in all three outings, including 25 to spark a 3-2 comeback victory over archrival Grand Valley State on the road Tuesday. She also had 18 digs versus the Lakers and finished the week with 46 kills, 35 digs, five aces, three assists and three blocks to help the fifth-ranked Bulldogs improve to 26-2 overall this year.

Highlights: Thompson had three terrific performances as Ohio Dominican swept all three matches last week, including a victory over Ashland. Thompson averaged 4.89 kills per set and hit .298 as an outside hitter, while notching double-doubles in wins over Lake Erie and Ashland. The senior tallied 18 kills against Lake Erie, matching a career-high for kills in a three set match, while hitting an incredible .500 and also put up 15 kills and hit .303 in win over Tiffin. Thompson now has 13 double-doubles on season and ranks fourth in GLIAC with 326 kills and sixth in total points with 368.5.
