PNW's Shaw and LSSU's Bradford awarded GLIAC women's basketball players of the week honors

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced that Purdue Northwest senior guard Dash Shaw has been recognized as GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week while Lake Superior State sophomore forward Grace Bradford earned GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades following Week 14 of the 2023-24 women's basketball season.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Dash Shaw, Purdue Northwest

Dash Shaw had another stellar week for the Pride on the offensive side of the ball. She led the Pride averaging 19.0 points per game, 3.0 assists per game, and shot an incredible 68.4% from the field. Against #2 Grand Valley State, she led led the game with game-best 20 points going 7-of-9 from the floor and was a major part in the Pride almost pulling off the big upset. She ended the weekend also ended the week going a near 10-of-12 from the free-throw line.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Grace Bradford, Lake Superior State

Grace Bradford (Maple City, Mich.) came away with a pair of strong outings on the defensive end of the floor this week, notching a steal in each contest while also combining for five blocks on the week, including a career-high three-block performance on Saturday. She also went on to continue her dominance on the glass with 30 rebounds on the week, strengthening her hold as the league’s leading rebounder. This marks Bradford’s second GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors of the season.
