Findlay's Lankton, McKendree's Porta Earn GLIAC Lacrosse Weekly Honors

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the fourth GLIAC Lacrosse Player of the Week awards for the 2016 season. Findlay's forward Sarah Lankton earned GLIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honors, while McKendree goaltender Amy Porta earned GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week accolades.

Highlights: Lankton totaled 6 goals, 4 assist and 11 draw controls on the week. She also had two caused turnovers and 3 draws in the win over Tiffin. Lankton was huge on defense this past week, she was instrumental in slowing down both Tiffin and Urbana on the attacking end. 

Defensive
Amy Porta McKendree Jr.
Highlights: Porta was tremendous in goal for McKendree this past week in Colorado.  Against Colorado State- Pueblo she had 12 goals against and 13 saves.  Against #16 Regis she had 15 goals against with 13 saves. Porta has a 50% save percentage going to conference play this week.
