BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the seventh GLIAC Lacrosse Player of the Week awards for the 2016 season. Tiffins attacker Emily Roussel earned GLIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honors, while UIndy's goaltender Irene Carlquist earned GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week accolades.

Highlights: Roussel had a huge weekend offensively for Tiffin. Against McKendree, Roussel had nine of Tiffin's 18 goals, while causing one turnover and picking up three ground balls. Between the 30's Rouseel snagged three draw controls. On Sunday vs. UIndy Roussel had another great day, finding the back on the net three times, picking up three ground balls, one caused turnover and two draw controls. |

Highlights: In UIndy's upset win over Findlay, Carlquist was phenomenal between the pipes. She recorded nine aves while only allowing eight goals finishing the day with .529 save percentage, she also scooped up four ground balls and one caused turnover. Against Tiffin Carlquist put up a total of 15 saves finishing the day at .500, while recording one ground ball. Irene finished the weekend above 50% recording a .514 save percentage. |
