GVSU Captures Both GLIAC Lacrosse Weekly Honors

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the ninth GLIAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards for the 2016 season. For the second time this season GVSU captured both lacroose weekly honors. GVSU's Attacker Erika Neumen earned GLIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week accolades, while teammate Brianna DeMilia earned GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors.

Highlights: Neumen had a strong weekend for Grand Valley, who went 2-0. In their two games, Neumen had 10 goals on 15 shots. Between the 30's she cam away with three ground balls, seven draw controls and chipped in six caused turnovers. Neumen was also perfect on free positions going 2-2.

Highlights: DeMilia stepped up big for Grand Valley in their two wins this weekend. She had 12 saves over 120 minutes in cage. DeMilia was active out of cage, coming up with 10 ground balls. She was 2-5 on free positions while being a catalyst for transition.
