McKendree's Salthouse, GVSU's Wojichowski Earn GLIAC Lacrosse Weekly Honors

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the fifth GLIAC Lacrosse Player of the Week awards for the 2016 season. McKendree's attacker Paige Salthouse earned GLIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week honors, while GVSU's defender Caitlin Wojichowski earned GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week accolades.

Highlights: Salthouse had a huge week for McKendree. In a win over UIndy, Salthouse put up four goals, one assist and chipping one ground ball. Against Grand Valley, Salthouse lead Mckendree with five huge goals and one assist. Through the 30's Salthouse picked up three grounds balls and three draw controls. In a 1-1 week for McKendree, Satlhouse led all McKendrees scorers with nine goals.

Highlights: Wojichowski had seven groundballs and six caused turnovers in two conference wins this weekend. She was instrumental in GVSU's clearing which was 31-of-35 for the two games. Wojichowski was huge on settled defense, she helped create 16 of UIndys 28 turnovers and 13 of McKendree's 20 turnovers.
