Tiffin Sweeps GLIAC Lacrosse Weekly Honors

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced the eighth GLIAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards for the 2016 season. For the second time this season Tiffin earned both lacroose weekly honors. Attacker Tori Nelson earned GLIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week accolades, while teammate Amie Morrison earned GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors.

Highlights: Nelson was huge for the Dragons in their overtime win against No. 9 Grand Valley State. Nelson walked away with five goals on seven shots, one assist, six draw controls, two ground balls and one caused turnover. Nelson won the draw in overtime to gain control for Tififn, and also scored the game winning goal in overtime.

Highlights: Morrison had a weekend of ones for Tiffin: one assist, one ground ball, one draw control and she also held one the GLIAC's most potent scoring threats to one goal. Morrison was able to hold Grand Valley's top scorer to just one goal on three shots. She played an important part in Tiffin's clearing game (3-3).
