Ferris State No. 1 in First Region Rankings

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The first NCAA Division II Football Regional Rankings of 2015 have been released and the Ferris State Bulldogs reside atop of the Super Region Four rankings with three weeks remaining in the regular season. Ferris State is joined by fellow GLIAC powers Grand Valley State and Ashland. The Lakers, who come in at No. 4 in the region, will travel to Ohio this weekend to battle Ashland, the No. 6 team in a matchup with serious postseason implications. 

The top seven programs in the region at the end of the regular season will qualify for the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs with the No. 1 seed will receiving a first-round bye. Super Region Four consists of schools from the GLIAC, the Lone Star Conference, the Great Lakes Valley Conference and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
