COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio Dominican senior receiver Dez Stewart (Cincinnati, Ohio) signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a priority free agent after the conclusion of the NFL Draft on Saturday night.
Stewart is one of the most decorated receivers in ODU history, setting the school record with 3,197 yards receiving. Stewart finished his career with 196 receptions and 25 touchdowns. He earned First Team All-GLIAC honors as both a receiver and kick returner in 2015 while also picking up First Team All-GLIAC honors as a sophomore and junior.
As a sophomore, Stewart set ODU's single-game receiving record with 187 yards against Georgetown College, and during his junior year he paced the GLIAC with 1,156 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
He averaged 25.2 yards per kick return as a senior and also had a 71 yard punt return for a touchdown.
