Parkside and Davenport punch tickets to NCAA Division II Men's Soccer postseason

GLIAC -- Parkside and Davenport will represent the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) in the 2021 NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship, the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Committee announced during the selection show on Monday evening.

Parkside, a No. 3 regional seed, will host a second round match versus No. 6 seed, Fort Hays State (13-5-2). The Rangers will face the Tigers on Sunday, Nov. 21, at noon at Pritchard Park in Racine, Wis.

The Rangers, ranked No. 20 nationally, won the GLIAC regular season championship and the postseason tournament championship for the second time since Parkside joined the GLIAC. The Rangers finished the regular season with a record of 13-3-2.

Davenport, which shared the GLIAC regular season title with Parkside, will appear in the postseason for the first time since joining Division II. The Panthers received an at-large bid and are the No. 10 seed.

Davenport (11-7-1) will take on No. 7 seed Lewis University (11-4-3) on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. Lake Erie College will be the host of the first round matchup as the No. 2 seed and will play the DU-Lewis winner on Saturday, Nov. 20.
