Eagles are eighth, Lakers 10th in WBCA Poll

LILBURN, Ga. - The Ashland women's basketball team is ranked eighth, and the Grand Valley State Lakers are 10th in the first Women's Basketball Coaches Association DII Top 25 Poll of 2019.

Ashland (11-1) has won four straight heading into this week's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference home games against Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan.

GVSU (11-1) has won nine in a row since its early-season loss to Lewis. The Lakers play host to Ferris State Thursday and travel to Lake Superior State on Saturday.
