Davenport's Turrubiates and Latus recognized with women's lacrosse weekly awards

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced the sixth GLIAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards for the 2022 season. Davenport swept the awards, as sophomore attack Ayanna Turrubiates was named Offensive Player of the Week and redshirt freshman goalkeeper Maisy Latus received Defensive Player of the Week accolades.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Ayanna Turrubiates, Davenport

In three Davenport wins last week, including two GLIAC victories, sophomore attack Ayanna Turrubiates (Lasnsing, Mich.) totaled 14 goals, one assist, 29 shots, 24 shots on goal, two game-winning goals, five ground balls, two caused turnovers, and eight draw controls. 
 

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Maisy Latus, Davenport

In helping Davenport to a 3-0 record last week and extend its winning streak to six games, redshirt freshman goalkeeper Maisy Latus (West Henrietta, N.Y.)  tallied 12 saves on 33 shots faced, including eight on Sunday against Concordia-St. Paul in a 12-10 victory.
