GLIAC -- The brackets for the 2022 GLIAC Men's and Women's Tennis Tournaments have been finalized following the final week of regular season play.
The Wayne State men's team, the GLIAC regular season champion, will serve as the No. 1 seed and receive a first round bye. The Warriors posted a 7-0 conference record in 2022.
Second-seeded Ferris State (6-1) will also receive a bye.
First round action will include fourth-seeded Davenport meeting No. 5 Northwood and No. 3 Grand Valley State taking on No. 6 Lake Superior State.
Northwood (7-1), Wayne State (7-1) and Grand Valley State (7-1) shared the 2022 women's regular season title. The Timberwolves and the Warriors will receive first round byes based on tiebreak protocols.
First round contests will feature matchups between No. 4 Ferris State and No. 5 Lake Superior State and No. 3 Grand Valley State and No. 6 Michigan Tech.
The 2022 GLIAC Men's and Women's Tennis Tournaments are scheduled to begin on Friday, April 29 at the Midland Tennis Center in Midland, Mich. The second round will take place on Saturday, April 30 with the championship matches set for Sunday, May 1.
