GVSU's Logan and WSU's Korolden earn weekly GLIAC baseball honors

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its fourth weekly baseball awards of the 2022 baseball season. Grand Valley State sophomore Nathan Logan was selected as GLIAC Baseball Player of the, while Wayne State junior Ryan Korolden was named pitcher of the week.


PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Nathan Logan, Grand Valley State

Nathan Logan (South Lyon, Mich.) batted .448 this week over eight games in Florida, finishing with seven doubles, one triple, five RBI's and five runs scored. He had a .759 slugging percentage and a .467 on-base percentage to help lead the Lakers to a 5-3 record this past week. The Lakers are 8-4 on the season. 

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Ryan Korolden, Wayne State

Senior Ryan Korolden (Yale, Mich.) blanked a solid Ashland team on Sunday for eight innings as he earned his second win of the season.  The right-hander struck out eight batters and allowed just four base runners (two hits, one walk and one hit-by-pitch). Over his last two starts, Korolden has allowed one run and struck out 17 batters in 16 innings.
