WSU's Miller and Korolden recognized with GLIAC baseball weekly honors

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its eighth weekly baseball awards of the 2022 baseball season. Wayne State swept the awards, with senior second baseman Noah Miller being named GLIAC Baseball Player of the Week and senior righthander Ryan Korolden earning pitcher of the week.


PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Noah Miller, Wayne State

Noah Miller (Macomb, Mich.) helped WSU go 6-0 this past week by hitting .556 (10-for-18) with four doubles and six RBI. He posted a .652 on-base percentage and a .778 slugging percentage. Miller also drew four walks and stole two bases. He did not make an error in 16 chances and was a part of four double plays in the field.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Ryan Korolden, Wayne State

Ryan Korolden (Yale, Mich.) helped finish the sweep of SVSU on Sunday by working seven scoreless innings to improve to 4-1. He struck out six batters and surrendered just three hits. Korolden leads the GLIAC with a 1.49 ERA. This is Korolden's second conference weekly award of the season.
