2022 GLIAC Football Gameday // Week 3

GLIAC -- Six GLIAC teams will be in action on Saturday, all in nonconference contests. 

Davenport will host Northern Michigan at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex in a game that will count only towards both teams overall record. The Panthers are 1-0 and coming off a bye while Northern Michigan (1-1) picked up its first win of the season last week, downing UW-Oshkosh in the Superior Dome. The game between DU and NMU in Marquette on Oct. 8 is an official GLIAC contest. 

Third-ranked Grand Valley State (2-0) will meet Lincoln University (Calif.) (0-3) under the lights of Lubbers Stadium on Saturday night. The Lakers are coming off back-to-back victories over nationally-ranked opponents. 

Saginaw Valley State (2-0), ranked No. 23 nationally, will travel locally to Midland, Mich. to face Northwood in a nonconference game. The Cardinals are rolling, winning their first two games by 72 and 28 points. 

Michigan Tech (1-1) is on the road for the second consecutive week, traveling long-distance to Wichita Falls, Texas for a matchup with Midwestern State (1-1) of the Lone Star Conference.

Wayne State (1-1) is home at Tom Adams Field, hosting UW-Lacrosse in an evening contest.

No. 1-ranked Ferris State has a bye in week 3.
