BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following Week 5 action. Tiffin junior wide receiver Charles Holland earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Grand Valley State sophomore Devin McKissic captured GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Saginaw Valley State redshirt freshman Marvin White claimed GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week accolades.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Charles Holland, Tiffin
Tiffin junior wide receiver Charles Holland had a career day, totaling a personal best 262 yards receiving on 11 catches with two touchdowns covering 86 and 21 yards as the Dragons shocked No. 5 Ashland, 35-32. Holland's 262 yards were the second highest single-game total in TU history.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Devin McKissic, Grand Valley State
Grand Valley State sophomore cornerback Devin McKissic recorded six tackles, one tackle-for-loss (-4), a pass break up and the game-saving interception as he picked off a pass at the GVSU five yard line with :17 seconds left to preserve a 24-21 for the No. 2 ranked Lakers over Ohio Dominican, 24-21.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Marvin White, Saginaw Valley
Saginaw Valley redshirt freshman Marvin White returned a kick-off 100 yards for a touchdown and Saginaw Valley's game-winning score in the team's 17-16 road victory at Michigan Tech. White, the redshirt freshman, added a pair of tackles as well from the cornerback position for the Cardinals.
