GVSU Leads Strong GLIAC Showing in First Super Region 4 Football Rankings

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The first NCAA Division II Football Regional Rankings of 2016 have been released and the Grand Valley State Lakers sit atop of the Super Region Four rankings with three weeks remaining in the regular season. GVSU is joined by No. 4 Ashland, No. 6 Wayne State and No. 9 Ferris State.

The top seven programs in the region at the end of the regular season will qualify for the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs with the No. 1 seed will receiving a first-round bye. Super Region Four consists of schools from the GLIAC, the Lone Star Conference, the Great Lakes Valley Conference and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
