BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following Week 7 of the 2017 men's soccer season. Saginaw Valley senior midfielder Oakley Hanger earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades, while Davenport senior goalkeeper Aaron Orban claimed GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Oakley Hanger, Saginaw Valley

Saginaw Valley senior midfielder Oakley Hanger registered the game-winning goal in the final minute of regulation for a 3-2 victory over Tiffin that has SVSU now tied atop the GLIAC standings with three matches to play. Davenport senior goalkeeper Aaron Orban registered his 25th career shutout in a 1-0 win over Northern Michigan on Friday. He needed to make just one save but then had a heavy workload against Northwood on Sunday with six saves (season-high) in a 2-1 double overtime win.
