KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The top nine spots
remain unchanged heading into Thanksgiving weekend in the latest
NABC/Division II rankings, with Metropolitan State again leading
the pack along with West Liberty and Bellarmine in the top three
spots.
The Roadrunners, who picked up their second win in the Pre-Season
NIT Monday night – games that are being played as exhibition
contests – head to the west coast this weekend for a showdown
with seventh-ranked Western Washington on Saturday. West
Liberty and Bellarmine retain the second and third positions, while
Drury, Florida Southern and Midwestern State hold the next three
spots.
After Western Washington is Findlay, Seattle Pacific and the only
newcomer to the top 10 in Indiana (Pa.), who moved in after
Northeastern State’s loss Saturday at Arkansas-Fort Smith,
who enters the rankings for the first time in program history as a
result.
Minnesota State starts the second 10 at No. 11, followed by Dixie
State, Lincoln Memorial, Southern Indiana and Livingstone.
They are followed by Montevallo, Tarleton State, Fort Lewis,
Alaska-Anchorage and Fort Hays State.
Northeastern State’s loss dropped the River Hawks 11 spots
to No. 21 and North Alabama, who suffered a loss at Tuskegee a week
ago, fell eight places to 22nd. The last three
spots are occupied by newcomers to the rankings this season, with
East Stroudsburg checking in at No. 23, followed by Colorado School
of Mines and Arkansas-Fort Smith, whose win over NSU improved its
mark to 5-0.
