CLEVELAND – Grand Valley State remains in the lead of the Division II Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup after the first winter standings. The Lakers placed second in men’s indoor track & field, sixth in women’s indoor track & field, sixth in men’s swimming and diving and 20th in women’s swimming and diving. They have a total of 660 points, 373 of those earned during the fall season.

The final Division II winter standings will be released Thursday, April 2.
The Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 14 sports -- seven women’s and seven men’s.
